hello,
i have faced same problem with my pc ,
detail of hardware as follows

presently i have lost ubuntu 10.4 ,
earlier same problem i face with ubuntu 9.04,
but most significant when i booted from cd special effect was working ,
prior to 9.04 with 8.04 visual effect was working,
now i can not use ubuntu 10.4 cd it doesn't work till initialising ,
just hang the pc,
compels to work with windows
can any body help.
