Hi Ram,

The Drupal website has a getting started guide[1], and you might want to check 
out drupalgardens[2], where you can get a free site running Drupal, where you 
might want to try out things as you learn.

PS: IIRC, there is also a Drupal Planet forums where you can ask questions.
