[ubuntu-in] How to install VMserver on Natty Narwhal

Dear All,
I want to install VMserver on Natty Narwhal.
I have download the right VMServer package from VMWARE site and untarrred it, changed the permissions of vmware.pl and vmware-config.
However here I get an error relating to etc/ file that I am not able to resolve.
Can anybody help?
