Hey Shashi,

The EC1261 should be plug n play: connect device to machine, click on
your network manager icon (in the top right panel of the screen), you
should see something like New Mobile Broadband Device .. click on it
to setup .. it will ask you to select country - chose India, will ask
you to chose provider, chose Tata Photon Plus - leave password
username settings as they are, and connect .. it should work
seamlessly.

Let know if you have any issues.
Discovered the issues I was having was with a slightly different model
of the photon.
