Hi
I installed a version of sofytware (gnukhata) via a .run file
there is a newer version available (1.3.3.) at gnukhata.in
due to some issues i was advised to install the new version
However there was / is not recommended method to uninstall the old version
So i used the find command to find any references to gnukhata (in /
/usr/bin /run / etc and so on) these i manually removed and then installed
the new version 1.3.3 however post install i continue to get the old
version in the about section.
Now am unsure if the old version is still hanging around some where or the
new version just has not updated the version number.
But the above is by way of explanantion - my main question is if there is a
software that is installed via ./run is there an easy way to uninstall it.
thanks
ram
