I don't know elkbuntu at all except for when he speaks in the Ops channel
so I can't say anything about him. I can say that if Seveas and others vote
for him and all say good things, then there is a reason and I'm for him
being an op.
As far as LjL, I only see him in #Kubuntu and he's very knowledgeable and
helpful with the users. I will say, he's very strong about his
opinions/beliefs on certain things, though all of us are. I'm not saying
it's a bad thing at all. In fact, it's good. I'd vote for him to be an op
as well on the basis of knowledge, user friendliness, and the willingness to
help everyone.

other ops or something come into the Ops channel and ask for help in another
channel and several of us can't do anything to help eliviate the situation
that may be occuring. I think if we have an *Irc-Op* team then we should
have access in some way to all of the *Ubuntu* channels just incase we are
ever needed. I know personally I don't hang out in #Ubuntu mainly because I
know little to nothing about Gnome since I haven't used it in 5+ years. But
if noone else is around(which is rare) and someone is flooding, spamming or
whatever and a user were to bring it to my attention, I'd be helpless. I'm
sure there are others on the ops list of Kubuntu or whereever that would be
in the same situation.
Just something for us all to think about and how we are going to do things
once the IRC council gets situated and really begins working on making
things *normalized*. Just my 2 cents worth as well.
