Call for comments on IRCC nominees

I must have missed something, really, someone needs to explain to me how
this happened. I've tried to stay very clear of all this, but this is
plain insane.
Since when did the IRC community turn into 5 year-old children throwing
their toys about? Since when did it become acceptable to talk about
people like this?

I think we should all be reminded of the Code of Conduct[1], it's not
just there to give us a warm, fuzzy feeling inside, it's there to make
sure things like this don't happen. Personal attacks, inconsiderate and
disrespectful behaviour is not something I thought I'd see from our
community, from people I see daily on IRC.

If you want to voice your opinion on the IRCC nominations, by all means
please do. But remember that there is a right and a wrong way to do so.
And everyone jumping around to attack each other is definitely the wrong
way.

Please stop this now before we do further damage to our community and
make the job for the next IRCC even more difficult.
