Allora ho installato i sorgenti.
Il mio kernel è 2.6.12-3 ho il dubbio però che mi installi quelli del 2.6.12-9
Infatti:
apt-cache search kernel source 2.6.12
mi da come risultato

SMP.
linux-patch-ubuntu-2.6.12 - Ubuntu patches to Linux 2.6.12
  - Linux kernel source for version 2.6.12 with Ubuntu patches
linux-image-2.6.12-3-686 - Linux kernel image for version 2.6.12 on
PPro/Celeron/PII/PIII/PIV

Ho installato i sorgenti linux-source-2.6.12

Non sto usando il 2.6.12-9 perché mi ha dato problemi: il boot viene
notevolmente rallentato.


Lanciando l'install.sh della "sis" mi da il seguente errore:
Compiling...
ERROR: Kernel modules did not compile

The DRI drivers can not be installed without the latest kernel modules.
Installation will be aborted. See the dri.log file for information on
what went wrong

Guardando nel log:
Makefile:166: *** Cannot find a kernel config file.  Stop.
