[ubuntu-it] La stampante non va, colpa della porta usb?

Ciao a tutti, ho uno strano problema con la stampante Epson Stylus Color 
580.
Quando avevo breezy la stampante andava ed era connessa sulla USB #0, ora ho 
dapper e la stampante non va più, mi da sempre un

"errore 1034 - la stampante è in pausa?"

ovviamente la stampante è "pronta" non "in pausa".
Sul manager stampanti di gnome e da localhost viene connessa alla porta USB 
#1.

Non voglio stare ad annoiarvi con tutta la storia della configurazione della 
stampante (e del driver) che è stata già verificata più volte e risulta 
corretta. Non avendo più idee in merito ho pensato che il problema fosse la 
porta usb.
