Non ho smanettato. L'unico cambiamento che ho fatto prima che amule 
smettesse di funzionare è stato l'aggiornamento di xserver-xorg,
infatti da shell mi dice che

Ho provato a disinstallare completamente(senza cancellare la cartella 
.aMule) e a re-installare, ma non partiva lo stesso.
Ho anche provato ad installare a Mule-CVS da sorgente,seguendo le 
indicazioni di
http://www.gnulinuxexperience.com/linux/install-amule.php
ma la cosa non è andata a buon fine, probabilmente perché Ubuntu 6.06 è 
troppo vecchia (ad un certo punto chiedeva e non trovava un compilatore 
C e non trovava il comando make), così ho desistito.
