The minor flaw with that view is that whenever someone new joins the
list, they do not know the unofficial rules, and will not find out them
unless they are told, and thus they are liable to being those most
egregious offenders purely through ignorance.  However, I also feel that
we have diverted enough attention away from the purpose of the list.
