Salam,

Monitoring many servers is one of the most sensitive tasks that ever
administrator must do, well it always depends on the need and the scale of
machine to monitor. It is always good idea to keep a database with many
snapshots of states of machines.

Personally, i used nagios, ntop, cacti or maybe munin for supervision and
alert, and i set a wiki with all characteristic of machines, addresses,
emplacement, N° series, numer of tel of technical support team, ....

In the fact, i think that a large enterprise must delegate similar job to a
dedicated structure, and free time of administrators to others things,
however there are many good team in Morocco that help to addresses
supervision and monitoring plan for enterprise as like as Native LABS.
