Comment:
This is a very minor issue, but a HIG-compliant Applications Menu entry
would make it easier to find monodevelop, and the user would not have to
run it to get some idea of its purpose.

My suggestions for alternatives are as follows:

Name: MonoDevelop [IDE|Development|Development Environment]
Tooltip: 'Develop applications using C# and other .NET languages'
