Which version of Ubuntu are you using? Also which version of Banshee is
it?

I can re-create the problem exactly as you described and I'm running
Edgy and Banshee 0.11.0-0ubuntu1.

I notice also that it's been reported (I think by yourself) upstream at
bugzilla <a
