Mark: If there were no software patents, it would not belong in the bug
tracker, but since they do (notably in the US) its important to be aware
of them (consider why Ubuntu doesn't ship with MP3 support even though
many FOSS programs can easily play them).

However, I do admit that as time goes on it looks more and more like
FUD, so I have changed the description.
