[ubuntu-mono] [Bug 250899] [NEW] f-spot starts twice, recognizes camera thrice, imports pictures infinitely often

If I plug in a camera, I get a window "Kamera Importieren" with the two
options (I am retranslating from the l10ned text from now on) "Ignore"
and "Import" and a checkbox "always perform this action" which, if
checked, doesn't do anything at all. A few seconds later another F-Spot
window opens, together with the camera selection window. I can either
click "Ignore" on the first window and keep these, or close the latter
two windows and click "Import" in the first window to end up with one
instance of F-Spot running. Why can't it start just once instead of
confusing the user with two different startup windows simultaneously?

The window for selecting the camera to import from displays three copies
of the camara (a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX12): once as /media/disk, once a
usb: and once as usb:001,009 (numbers vary). Selecting either of the
latter two makes F-Spot hang for several seconds before displaying an
error message, only /media/disk works. Why can't it display just one
working instance of the camera instead of confusing the user with
several dynfunctional options?

Once you have found the right conbination of running instance and
working import source, it will happily import all images it has long
since imported (several times before) once again with a slightly
different file name. Why can't it import pictures just once like it
should instead of turning your photo collection into an unmanageable
pile of dupes?

In contrast to F-Spot, importing pictures in gThumb is a breeze, it
recongnizes the camera (once and correctly) and imports only the
pictures it has not imported before.
