I believe we have actually two bugs here:
1) some dates aren't converted correctly when displayed, and
2) the EXIF DateTimeOriginal is modified even though f-spot should never modify it automatically.

Now, 1 is annoying but not really that bad, whereas 2 is what corrupts
the user's data and is thus quite bad.
