Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it
would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers
of the software by following the instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please
tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a
bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.

You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu

Status in “f-spot” package in Ubuntu: New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: f-spot
My Canon SD500 takes short video clips which are saved as avi files. The older version of f-spot on Ubuntu 8.04 imported these along with the jpg files.
The new version (0.5.0.3) on Ubuntu 8.10 does not import the avi files.
It shows the avi files, counts them in the totals for number of files and seems to go through the motions of importing them.
It gives a screen message that it is importing the avi files but does not import them.
This new version also imports all photos into the /Photos directory unlike the old version which made new folders for each date and time... how can I restore the old behaviour.
