Thanks for checking this; clearly we're syncing too aggressively in
this case.  I'll try to get a fix in for the next development release.

Status in “tomboy” package in Ubuntu: New

Bug description:
Binary package hint: tomboy

While editing a note, it is frequently grayed out for several seconds. The note is not responding to basic edit attempts. Since this happens very frequently and takes the longer the larger the note is, I suspect it may be some problem with ubuntu-one sync, which locks the underlying note file? I'm not familiar with the sync technique of ubuntu one. Alternatively, it could be a bad implemention of an autosave method.

When I do not touch the note - just leaving it open on the screen - it does not happen. When I'm actively editing the note, it happens more frequently than the sync interval, can't say exactly. So this speaks against ubuntu one sync. I'll turn of autosync now and report back later.
