Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: banshee

banshee:
  Installed: 1.8.0-2ubuntu1~maverick1

It is expected that when you click your mouse's forward or back button,
Banshee will skip to the next or previous track respectively. Currently,
the buttons do nothing.

I suggest one of the following:
1) Map next/prev track to mouse forward's/back button.
2) Map next/prev track to ALT + LEFT , or ALT + PREV (to keep consistency with Firefox/Nautilus)
3) Allow the user to specify what key combination to use for next/prev track.

** Affects: banshee (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Tags removed: button forward mouse next track
