Thanks a lot for reporting this, however since F-Spot is no longer a
part of the default installation, this is no longer a paper cut. Btw, a
bug report should only be filed against a single application, since
there will typically be different development teams working on different
apps, which means the bugs aren't likely to be fixed simultaneously,
preventing us from drawing a line under the issue until they are all
fixed.

I'm closing the EoG task here. If you are experiencing the same problem
with it, then a new bug report should be opened.

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: f-spot

  Our default photo application, lacks caching when watching photos. It
  would be nice if the next image would appear instantly, without
  redrawing, just like in gqview (which should be used as a reference in
  speed).

  It is important, as users use cameras that produce very large (e.g.
  10MP) images.

  Upstream bug contains a patch for this (which needs to be updated
  though).
