You can change the language to English by starting gbrainy (or, for that
matter, any other application) from the command line like this:

 $ LANG=C gbrainy

Title:
  localization not complete?

Status in “gbrainy” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gbrainy

  With Polish locale sometimes some questions, sometimes some answers
  are translated, so it is sometimes difficult to guess which words
  (Polish or English) should be entered. It adds unnecessary complexity
  to the puzzles. I don't know if it's just not completely translated or
  there is another problem with the languages mixed.

  Perhaps it should be possible to switch languages in preferences?
