How do you start banshee when you don't run it in debug mode ? From the
"Applications" menu or some other way ?
Does the problem also happen if you start banshee from a terminal, but not in debug mode ?
If yes, could you post the output you get then ?

Binary package hint: banshee
Attempting to export either a .pls or a .m3u playlist in banshee leads
to error message:
Could not export playlist:
Exception has been thrown by the target of a invocation.
I enter the save dialog, enter the name and choose the export type,
and hit the save button: then the error occurs.
