I think this is not a duplicate of #450916

on Ubuntu Natty, Banshee does not detect avahi published daap servers,
the only way I have to get the share working is to manually insert the
ip address of my nas every time I run banshee from "Add remote DAAP
server"

  Binary package hint: banshee

  Banshee on Lucid does not automatically detect my DAAP share on a NAS.
  Unfortunately there is not even a means to connect manually, however I
  can connect and use that share manually with Rhythmbox to verify that
  it works.
