Title:
"Re-Importing" a folder with images, creates duplicates for each
"version" of an already imported image

Status in “f-spot” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: f-spot

  Version: F-Spot Installed: 0.8.0-1
  Platform: Ubuntu 10.10

I keep my images in a folder and import them without the "copy"
  option.

Editing Images in F-Spot creates new files in this folder
(eg. cropping "DSC_9216.JPG" results in a new file "DSC_9216 (Modified).JPG" in the same folder.

If I add new images into this folder and re-import the folder, then
F-Spot sees, that "DSC_9216.JPG" exists already (and hence doesn't
import it again), but "DSC_9216 (Modified).JPG" is imported as new
image, even though it is onle a "cropped version" of "DSC_9216.JPG".

The versions should not be re-imported as new images.
