Public bug reported:
If compared to other OSes like Windows and Mac , the biggest drawback of Ubuntu is lack of a simple file sharing application.
It becomes a nightmare when filesharing is needed to be done between two systems, be it windows, mac or ubuntu. We have to go all commandline and start editing text files.
Since file sharing is a common practice within a home network, why not include a file sharing app like giver or make creating a groupshare as easy as creating homegroups in Windows 7?
It will be a great feature in ubuntu 12.04
** Affects: giver (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
