I can confirm this bug in the latest version (1.11.2). Renaming the note
still causes it to not be linked if text added. Maybe has something to
do with XML escaping?

Title:
Special characters in notes = unexpected behavior with links
Status in “tomboy” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: tomboy
Using Tomboy 1.4.2 (but behaviour also present in previous releases)
on Ubuntu 10.10 32bit.
When a note contains a special character (such as < > ( ), etc), links in other notes become unlinked when text is added after the link.
To reproduce:
1. create a new note, name it: new note 1 <
2. create another note, "new note 2", and in the body write "new note 1 <". The link to the first note appears, as expected. However,
3. still in "new note 2", write something on the same line, after the entered text: the link disappears.
