Title:
  [needs-packaging] monodevelop 5.*

Status in “monodevelop” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
There is newer version of monodevelop available than 4.0.12 included in
repository. A few PPAs already contains some vesrion, e.g. stable (now 5.0.1.3)
  at https://launchpad.net/~ermshiperete/+archive/ubuntu/monodevelop
or a development version ("beta", now 5.6.2.5) at
  https://launchpad.net/~ermshiperete/+archive/ubuntu/monodevelop-beta
  or "5.7~git20140930" at https://launchpad.net/~inizan-yannick/+archive/ubuntu/mono

I think the stable (5.0.*) one should be incorporated in universe
  repo.
