** No longer affects: monodevelop (Ubuntu)

** No longer affects: monodevelop-database (Ubuntu)

** Description changed:

  Several webkit1 reverse-dependencies have been removed from Debian
  Testing ('buster').

  While I'd like to see them removed from unstable too (or ported away
  from webkit1), that will take quite a while longer.

  Removed from testing
  ====================
  gnucash
  luakit (there's an ITA but it's a web browser so I wouldn't be too sad if luakit is removed until it can be at least properly maintained in Debian)
- monodevelop
- monodevelop-database
  thawab
  xiphos

  Never in Debian
  ===============
  lightdm-webkit-greeter
  Mike Gabriel from Debian MATE has begun preparing web-greeter (the renamed version of lightdm-webkit-greeter)

  Other Info
  ==========
- I think the most difficult one on this list for some people is gnucash. Fedora 27 (due ~November) is actually bundling webkit1 inside the gnucash packaging. There will be a beta version of gnucash ported to gtk3 available later this year. Hard to say whether it's better to offer a beta or just remove it entirely.
+ Probably the most difficult remaining one is gnucash. Fedora 27 actually bundled webkit1 inside the gnucash packaging. gnucash 3.0 was ported to gtk3 but its build tests fail in Ubuntu. See LP: #1758740

- monodevelop may be useful to some people but I don't think Mono ever got
- around to releasing a stable gtk3 version of Mono.
-
- Arch Linux has already completely removed webkit1.
+ Arch Linux completely removed webkit1 last year.

** Summary changed:

- Please remove webkit1 rdepends removed from Debian Testing
+ Please remove webkit from Ubuntu

** Summary changed:

- Please remove webkit from Ubuntu
+ Please remove webkitgtk from Ubuntu

** Also affects: webkitgtk (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
       Status: New
