Meeting notes from the weekly catch-up. The team discussed the upcoming quarterly planning session. Sarah mentioned the need to finalize the agenda by Wednesday. John agreed to send out the draft for review tomorrow morning. We also talked about the new project timelines and potential adjustments needed for the second phase. The marketing materials are in design review, and feedback is expected by Friday. The conversation shifted to office supplies, and we decided to order more coffee pods for the break room. The brand we usually get was out of stock, so we picked a similar roast from the supplier. It should arrive by next Tuesday. Afterwards, Mike brought up the topic of the team lunch next month. A few suggestions were made: that new Italian place downtown, the sushi restaurant near the park, or maybe a potluck in the conference room. We'll take a vote via email later this week. I need to remember to update the shared calendar with everyone's vacation days for July. Karen is taking two weeks to visit family, and Tom has a couple of short trips planned. It's important to coordinate coverage for ongoing client communications. On a different note, I've been thinking about trying a new recipe for dinner this weekend. I saw one for a roasted vegetable and quinoa bowl with a lemon tahini dressing. It looked simple and healthy. I have most of the ingredients already – just need to pick up some tahini and fresh parsley. Maybe I'll make a big batch so I have lunches for a few days. My sister called last night and we talked for almost an hour. She's thinking of repainting her living room and was asking for color opinions. She's leaning towards a very light grey with white trim. I told her it would look clean and bright. She also mentioned her garden is doing well this spring, especially the tomato plants. She's expecting a big yield in a few weeks. I should ask her for some if she has extras. I need to stop by the post office tomorrow to mail a package to my nephew. His birthday is coming up. I got him a book about space and a puzzle of the solar system. I hope he likes it. I'll need to find a box that's the right size. I think I have one in the closet from an online order last month. The weather has been really pleasant lately. Good for walking in the evenings. I saw a beautiful sunset last night over the water. The colors were amazing – deep oranges and purples. It reminded me of a painting. I should take more time to notice things like that. It's easy to get caught up in the daily routine and miss the simple stuff. My reading list is getting long. I have three books on my nightstand waiting for attention. One is a historical fiction novel, one is a biography, and the third is about mindfulness. I try to read for at least twenty minutes before bed. It helps me unwind. I finished a great mystery novel last week. The ending was a surprise, which I always appreciate. The author did a good job of hiding the clues. I might look for more of their work. I have a dentist appointment next Thursday afternoon. Just a regular check-up and cleaning. I hope there are no cavities. I've been better about flossing lately, so fingers crossed. The office is in that new medical building on Elm Street. Parking can be a bit tricky there, so I'll need to leave a few minutes early. I need to water the plants on my balcony when I get home tonight. The herbs are looking a bit dry. The basil, mint, and rosemary are all growing well. I used some of the basil in a pasta sauce last night. Fresh herbs really do make a difference in flavor. I'm considering adding a small planter for cherry tomatoes. It might be fun to have a few homegrown ones. I should research how much sun they need. My balcony gets a good amount of light in the afternoon. The weekend is almost here. No major plans, which is nice. Maybe I'll finally organize that closet I've been putting off. Or maybe I'll just relax and watch a movie. I heard there's a new documentary about the ocean that's supposed to be very good. I could make some popcorn. Sometimes a quiet weekend at home is just what's needed to recharge for the week ahead.
