The updated diagram will follow,
Your position is designed to carry a beam, not a joist. (details.)
You are rightfully concerned about the top of the posts, but what about the bottom of the "notch"
It is the supporting surface for the beam, and it may be deteriorated worse than the top of the post, since moisture can get trapped there.
You might want to check the post with a tool there, to see if the bottom of the notch is still solid.

    Hello crew,
I hope you're all doing fantastic. Lately, I've been exploring new painting techniques and thought it would be exciting to share some of our favorite artistic ideas. I recently completed a vibrant landscape, and it turned out wonderful! Does anyone have any go-to techniques or artistic tips they'd like to share
Looking forward to hearing about your creative journeys!

    Hi Lucas and everyone,
That sounds amazing, Lucas! One of my favorite techniques is watercolor blending. I use different brushes to create unique textures. It's quick, rewarding, and always impressive.
An artistic tip I can share: always mix your colors before applying. It enhances depth, especially when working on larger areas.
    Happy painting!
    Best,
    Mia

    Good day all,
Lucas, your landscape sounds inspiring! I love playing with textures too. Recently, I finished a piece that uses layers and contrasting colors. It's bold and subtle without being too much.
Mia, mixing colors in advance is essential. I also enjoy a layering approach, where paints are applied in stages. It helps with detail and reduces creative stress.
    Can't wait to hear more!
    Warm regards,
    Ethan

    Hello everyone,
Excited to hear about all these wonderful pieces! I've been trying my hand at sculpture lately. My latest project is a clay figure that's both delicate and sturdy. It's ideal as a centerpiece or decorative element.
One tip for sculpture: always use quality materials. It helps achieve the best finish and longevity in your work.
    Looking forward to more exchanges!
    Regards,
    Noah
