[Bug 120223] Flash player/plugin and dvd movies will not work on feisty fawn and amd64

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

Have Sun amd64 and when I try to use yahoo.com pages or aol.com pages
requiring flash, plugin reported not installed and when attempting to
install, it doesn't install/ Tried multiverse solutions as suggested
elsewherre to no success, and installed all codecs as possible from all
releases, still no success. Additionally cannot get dvd movies  to work.
However in previous versions amd on 32 bit machines there is no problem.
64 bit is suppoese to be superior inm many ways, but what good having no
multimedia ability outside of music?
