Same thing happened to me today. Save dialog was displayed but not populated then Firefox crashed. Exact link i was trying to save: http://www.fractal-recursions.com/files/anim/596sm.mpg
Worked fine after i restarted firefox and tried again.  I'm running Ubuntu Edgy
