Does this still happen with version 2.0.0.4 of firefox? 
If so can you please:
1. run firefox in safe mode by running in terminal firefox -safe-mode
2. if that doesnt help remove automatix and everything that was installed with automatix than try again nomrally and in safe-mode
3. Can you test this on sites that anyone can get an account and see if it happens example: pogo launchpad, wiki.ubuntu.com, another game site, ect....
