Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: firefox
At least under KDE system (Kubuntu feisty or gutsy).
I have gimp and gwenview installed. I have put gwenview as my default application to launch for images. But when I click on an image file on a web site, there's only one choice : gimp.
I cannot ever force it without editing my personnal mimetype.rdf by hand, which is a shame. I cannot do it since the "Always use this action for this kind of file" checkbox is disabled (grey).
I haven't seen any answer in the bugzilla of mozilla community or in
developper.mozilla.org.
According to my understanding and some tests, Firefox seems to get the
list of associated applications and take the first one in alphabetical
order. It seems that's the root cause of this issue.
** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
