This bug is not a duplicate of bug 186186, which is about broken backgrounds and/or images.
For me it looks mostly like a user error, as you can
 - right click on the page and select "switch page direction" from context menu *or*
 - Edit -> "switch page direction"
I didn't find a default keyboard shortcut for this. Maybe it is a wrong interpretation of the HTML meta-data by firefox, but not sure.
