I should also mention that I have enabled the MathML functionality in
Firefox as well - I'm not sure if having this active would change the
rendering codepath enough to make it different, but there are additional
fonts being loaded as a result, which is also possibly a point.  I get
these assertions on stdout when viewing this page:


(gecko:30257): Pango-WARNING **: failed to create cairo scaled font, expect ugly output. the offending font is 'Courier 9.7490234375'

(gecko:30257): Pango-WARNING **: failed to create cairo scaled font,
expect ugly output. the offending font is 'Courier 12'
