I just did the same mistake, and I'm having the same problem.
Perhaps a dependency bug? 
Because I can see in sympatic that xulrunner 1.9 is already installed.

I didn try to uninstall xulrunner 1.9, because it ask me to uninstall a
lot of important things like ubuntu-desktop.

Any clue?
