[Bug 213228] Emails not appearing at all in inbox, but in webmail OK

I suspect my problem is similar. I saw I had 3 unread emails, but only 1
was visible. When I opened a webmail interfact, mail was there.

Using the webmail, I can move items to another folder (other than INBOX)
and see them, and when moved back to inbox they are visible in
Thunderbird.

VERY odd. Especially as some emails show up, but some do not.
