On 64-bit Hardy Heron beta, Thunderbird does not retain profile -- and
cannot create one in the default folder due to permissions problem. I
have tried checking & unchecking available options, but still have to
recreate profile from scratch every time I open the app. So I've
switched to Evolution Mail for now -- which works fine.
