[Bug 222243] [NEW] Hardy: Firefox 3.0b5 does not memorize my bookmarks

This is a new Hardy, not an upgrade. When I follow the procedure to import bookmarks from a file:
Bookmarks > bookmarks manager > import and save > import > from a file

When I do so then, it works once, but if I close/open FF 3.0, they have
disappeared!!!

On top of that, I cannot erase existing personal bar to replace it by
mine
