Ok, gotta close this bug - it wasn't firefox' fault, it was due to some
weird settings in gtk-qt-engine. After setting back the styles in the
systemsettings everything went smoothly again. Thanks to
forum,ubuntuusers.de who set me on the right path. Sorry for the
inconvenience

I don't see a link for closing the bug myself, so someone else close it
who's able to. Thx
