yes, please keep your ugly hacks for your own. This doesnt help
anyone, and will cause issues for all those that dont know how to
properly do things.
@all, please dont follow this advice.
To fix such situations its usually enough to backup your $HOME/.mozilla
directory like:
cp -r $HOME/.mozilla $HOME/.mozilla.backup1
then remove the extension cache files
rm $HOME/.mozilla/firefox/*/extensions.*
and start firefox
