OK 0.6 is the version built on gecko 1.9, 0.7 was built on geccko 1.8.
version 0.8 is not yet released its only RC1. At this time i am unable
to locate what gecko version is being used but im betting its 1.8 since
you were able  to install it and run it for the most part. Please use
our versions of software as it has been built for our versions of
depending software. I am away from home until mid to late april when i
get home sometime during next devel cycle i will built latest/alpha/beta
release of sunbird for mozilla's PPA archives, but i need to see what is
going on with Ubuntu-Mozillateams work load, if you join
irc.freenode.net and join channel #ubuntu-mozillateam someone there
should beable to answer any questions you have about it. Seeing as its
an Alpha release they may be unable to help much, please see if you have
same issue with our package of 0.7 and latest TB in Ubuntu repos for
your version of Ubuntu.
