[Bug 203202] [NEW] XML Parsing Error from several actions

Several different actions cause a yellow XML Parsing Error box to
appear. Some examples, and there may be more than just these:

Tools -> Addons generates the following:

XML Parsing Error: syntax error
Location: chrome://mozapps/content/extensions/extensions.xul
Line Number 1, Column 1:ing: url("chrome://mozapps/content/extensions/extensions.xml#install-downloading");

Adding an address to my address book by right clicking on it and
clicking Add To Address Book... generates:

XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
Location: chrome://messenger/content/addressbook/abNewCardDialog.xul
Line Number 1, Column 9:rdDialog"
--------^

Edit -> Preferences generates:

XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
Location: chrome://messenger/content/preferences/preferences.xul
Line Number 1, Column 2:f="chrome://mozapps/content/preferences/preferences.css"?>
-^

In each case, I cannot do what I'm trying to do; ie, I cannot edit my
preferences since the window never appears.

I tried removing ~/.mozilla-thuderbird/*/XUL.mfasl and restarting
Thunderbird as suggested by sj314 here:
http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-21999.html but this didn't
help.
