Looking at your final example (Screenshot-2.png), it appears that
Firefox is set to zoom pages a bit.  I am able to confirm the Google
logo quality that you point out in that image, by zooming in on the page
in Firefox.  Try reseting your zoom in Firefox by: View -> Zoom ->
Reset.

Have you tried changing your dpi in Gnome?
This can be done by going to System -> Preferences -> Appearance -> Fonts -> Details... -> Resolution
