I am unable to reproduce this on Hardy in firefox-2 or firefox-3b5 im
attaching my about:plugins page please compare what i have to yours. i
fyou dont see anything or it doesnt help please make sure you do not
have libflashsupport.so in your profile the easist way to do this is
open terminal and run the command "locate libflashsupport.so" without
the " and please post output to this bug.

Firefox-3.0 3.0~b5+nobinonly-0ubuntu3
Flashplugin-nonfree 9.0.124.0ubuntu2
Firefox-2.0.0.14+2nobinonly-0ubuntu1

Also if everything else fails please start a new profile and test it you
can also try to run "firefox -safe-mode" without the " to see if you can
reproduce it this way. I have a feeling its you profile that is messed
up or an extension you have installed like flashblock   please list all
extensions you have installed as well you can find them by going to
tools>addons in the Firefox menu
