Removing Firefox task since this occurs elsewhere.  Adding xorg task
since it may be a mouse issue.

Could you attach the output of the following:
xprop -root
gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals

Also, please attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log
