I can confirm this. I had same issue with Ubuntu 
8.04, but it was fixed
by installing libflashsupport. But now it is 
conflicting with 10.0.12.10
version of flashplugin-nonfree, so I can't use it.

Ubuntu: New

Bug description:
Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree

installed ubuntu intrepid 8.10 beta yesterday, and 
flashplugin-nonfree when prompted by firefox, it 
seemed to freeze during install so i restarted it 
and installed the plugin successfully a second 
time.

but youtube videos don't have sound,

I expected them to have sound

I've got a dell latitude d600

it didn't like 8.04 so I'm not sure if it's an 
unresolved pulse audio/ALSA issue

Loving the improvements and stability of 8.10, 
this is the only hiccup so far.

I'm available by email for more info, followup.
