I have the latest hardy + firefox.
I have the packaged versions of scrapbook and adblock-plus.
I have Dictionary Search, Disable Targets for Downloads, Downloadhelper, Fasterfox (ff2), Googlepreview, Greasemonkey (no scripts), Session Saver (ff2), Tab mix plus, Ubuntu Firefox Modifications, many language packs.
I have never had delicious.

I get the same problem in a different place. I can press enter in the adress bar and click the green arrow.
I cannot (it's been weeks now) type enter in the search bar (for any engine) or click the magnifying glass
to search -- I now have to browse to the search site (e.g. google) to search via the in-page search box, not the
toolbar search box.

The same happens in safe mode, and after a firefox restart or hardy
reboot.

I think it is a more general firefox setting to do with text boxes,
toolbars, or visual assistance.
